5 Tips for Creating More Emails Faster

1. Keep it Simple

Pick one main topic for your email and mention it in your subject line. If you have several topics that need attention, give them their own email. This will also allow you to Segment your sends to target exactly the right audience for each message.

2. Use a Template for Your Design

Don’t spend time designing and redesigning every email you send. Create a look for your emails that will consistently match your brand and the content you send. Set all your defaults so that text shows up correctly every time.

3. Write Less

Your average subscriber spends about 15 seconds reading an email. Use clear headings and bold key phrases to keep things skimmable. If you have something longer to share, include the first paragraph and send them to your website to continue reading.

4. Reuse content

Your subscribers don’t remember the marketing email you sent them nine months ago. If they’re among the 60% of your subscribers who didn’t open that email, they didn’t even see it. Don’t waste time recreating from scratch. Make a couple of tweaks and hit send.

5. Bulk create

Create 2 or 3 emails at a time and schedule them to be sent throughout the month. Sometimes the burden of the time commitment is what gets in the way. Once you’ve done one, the second goes much faster, and then you can scratch it off your to-do list for a while.
